Medications at School

If your son or daughter requires a prescribed medication at school, the nurse must have a physicians order for the CURRENT school year.  Included should be the name of the medication, time medication to be administered, route of administration and diagnosis.  Students may not carry any medication to and from school with the exception of inhalers for asthma and Epi-Pens for severe allergic reactions.  Medication must be in its original container and brought to the school by an adult.

Authorization to dispense medication and permission to carry attached below.

AEMS will stock non-prescription medications such as Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, Tums, and Benadryl.  These over the counter medications will be given only in certain circumstances and only with written parental                                                                                     permission.
