Experiencing Homelessness?
Andover School District has a responsibility to ensure that students who are homeless or migrant have equal access to their education.
The role of the school's Homeless Liaison includes the following responsibilities;
Ensure you are informed of all opportunities available to your children.
Ensure you are provided with meaningful opportunities to participate in your child's education,
Assist with enrollment dispute resolution cases, and ensure they are mediated in accordance with the state’s enrollment dispute resolution process,
Ensure that you are fully informed of all transportation services, including to the school of origin,
Ensure that you have help accessing transportation services as needed,
Post educational rights of homeless children and youth in all schools,
Monitor regulations and guidance related to policy that may be issued by applicable state and federal agencies.
