Experiencing Homelessness?

Andover School District has a responsibility to ensure that students who are homeless or migrant have equal access to their education. 

The role of the school's Homeless Liaison includes the following responsibilities;

• Ensure you are informed of all opportunities available to your children.

• Ensure you are provided with meaningful opportunities to participate in your child's education,

• Assist with enrollment dispute resolution cases, and ensure they are mediated in accordance with the state’s enrollment dispute resolution process,

• Ensure that you are fully informed of all transportation services, including to the school of origin,

• Ensure that you have help accessing transportation services as needed,

• Post educational rights of homeless children and youth in all schools,

• Monitor regulations and guidance related to policy that may be issued by applicable state and federal agencies.
